Ekinops partners with Swedish PacketFront to modernize operator networks
Ekinops and Swedish software publisher PacketFront Software Solutions have concluded a partnership aimed at network service providers. The stated objective is to propose a dual-vendor strategy combining edge equipment and orchestration platform, as European operators evolve their vendor selection.
Ekinops on hardware, PacketFront on orchestration
Ekinops (Euronext Paris - FR0011466069 - EKI), headquartered in Lannion, and PacketFront Software Solutions AB announced on September 9, 2026 a partnership aimed at helping service providers modernize and automate their networks. Under the terms outlined, Ekinops supplies the physical equipment at the network edge, while PacketFront's BECS platform provides orchestration, automation and service management. Ekinops platforms are certified by PacketFront Software to operate with BECS.
Deployment initially targeting the United Kingdom and Northern Europe
The partnership will initially focus on the United Kingdom and Northern Europe. It was highlighted at the PacketFront Connected Conference, held in Stockholm in June 2026, and is being presented at the Connected Britain exhibition in London on September 9 and 10, 2026. The two companies present this partnership as a response to the reorientation of vendor strategies by European operators, in a context of delivery constraints, cost pressures and geopolitical risks.
