Emeis completes its withdrawal from Latin America for approximately €111M in disposals
Following the sale of its Brazilian operations, the group has completed the divestment of all its operational activities in Latin America, for a total amount of approximately €111M excluding residual land assets.
An exit plan launched in 2024 and executed in stages
The disposal plan was launched in 2024 and aimed at a progressive withdrawal from the region through a series of transactions. Emeis was present in Brazil, Mexico, Uruguay and Chile, the country in which it held a minority stake.
At the end of 2023, the group's consolidation scope in the region (excluding Chile) comprised nearly 1,500 beds spread across 15 facilities. According to the company, the operation is part of its strategic repositioning on its European markets.

The group qualifies the contribution of this scope to EBITDA at the end of 2025 as non-significant. The EBITDAR for the entire region stood at -€1.5M for the 2025 fiscal year. The area had been reclassified according to IFRS 5 standard (non-current assets held for sale) in the interim accounts closed at the end of June 2026.
On this basis, Emeis indicates that the disposal has an immediately accretive effect, improves its balance sheet and supports the continuation of its debt reduction trajectory.
Land in Mexico and Colombia undergoing sale
The group still holds land in Mexico and Colombia, whose disposal is at an advanced stage. The corresponding transactions are expected to be secured by the end of the year, for an expected amount of approximately €20M.
In total, all operations of the Latin American divestment plan, including land currently being disposed of, represent an enterprise value of approximately €132M, of which nearly 40% had already been received at the end of 2025.
