Euronext share breaks through 164.50 € resistance and sets historic record
The pan-European exchange operator achieves a new absolute peak mid-session. The movement is accompanied by resistance breached during trading and a flattering ranking in an nearly inert CAC 40.
A peak at 166.40 € that beats the previous August record
The Euronext share gains 1.65% to 166.30 €, after reaching 166.40 € during the session, a historic high. The previous record, at 166.20 €, dated from August 25, 2026. The security broke through its 164.50 € resistance during the session and remains above it, making this zone its immediate support. The price is above its three moving averages, by 3.83% for the 20-day MA and 16.08% for the 200-day MA, while the RSI at 58 signals no overheating.
This progression contrasts with a CAC 40 gaining 0.14% at mid-session. Euronext is among the strongest gainers in the CAC 40. Over a quarter, the share gains 12.36%, and over a year 29.11%.
A semester driven by record results and a share buyback program
Today's peak is part of a year of progressive results for the operator. In the second quarter of 2026, Euronext had posted revenue up 16.9% and record adjusted earnings per share of 2.42 €. The latest monthly data, published on October 7, showed share trading up 16.8% and derivatives up 84.2% in September.
The group is also pursuing a 750 M€ share buyback program, announced on April 20, 2026 and executed at approximately 23% in early August, representing 174 M€ repurchased. The next round level above the price, the 170 € zone constitutes the benchmark to follow for the continuation of the movement.
