Euronext Stock Rebounds Over 2% and Crosses Its Moving Averages
The pan-European stock exchange operator is back on the rise in mid-morning trading, going against recent consolidation trends. The stock is benefiting from a well-oriented CAC 40 and is positioning itself in the upper part of the Paris index, after a volatile June.
A 2.13% Rebound Positions Euronext Among the Top Gainers of the CAC 40
Euronext stock has gained 2.13% to €143.90, up from €140.90 at the previous close. This movement places the stock among the top gainers of the CAC 40, following Carrefour and ArcelorMittal. The Paris index itself has risen by 0.71% to 8,396.76 points, supported by a sharper than expected drop in Eurozone inflation in June (2.8% versus 3.0% expected), which fuels expectations of a monetary pause by the ECB. Today's rebound erases the 2.5% drop experienced on June 24 before the dividend detachment and brings the weekly performance into positive territory (+0.91% over seven days). Over three months, the stock shows a gain of 2.49%, while the annual performance remains just negative at -0.83%.
The Stock Reaches Its 20-Day Moving Average After Dipping Below Its Short-Term Averages
At €143.90, the price is now in contact with its 20-day moving average (€143.79), which it had lost at the end of June. It also moves back above its 50-day moving average at €142.89, with a gap of 0.71%, while the 200-day moving average at €132.62 remains more than 8% below the current price, confirming a bullish mid-term orientation. The RSI at 43 indicates a neutral configuration, without excess in either direction. Technical support is identified at €135.20 and resistance at €150.20, a level that has not been surpassed for several weeks. The May session had already seen the stock appreciate after the publication of the first quarter accounts, with revenues up by 15.3% to €528.5 million. The next concrete milestone for shareholders will be the publication of the semi-annual results, traditionally scheduled for the end of July-beginning of August.
