Eutelsat stock surges more than 10% following announcements on potential authorizations in India ahead of Starlink
The satellite operator sharply reverses a long downward trend. The stock claims the top position in its index, in an upward-oriented Paris market, and India returns to the forefront of the OneWeb file.
A surge of 10.5% that exceeds the index gains
The session's gains place Eutelsat at the top of the SBF 120, which advances 0.62% at midday. The stock trades at €1.51, compared to €1.37 the previous day. This jump erases only a small portion of the 33.6% decline over three months and 19.2% over one month. The stock remains below its 20-day moving average (€1.60), at a 5.4% gap, and below its 50-day moving average (€1.81), at a 16.4% gap.
The RSI at 23 reflected a marked seller exhaustion ahead of this session. The rebound occurs near the €1.37 support level, which the stock had abandoned the previous day before recovering above it. The €1.95 resistance remains more than 28% away.
India, the stakes of OneWeb's satellite internet services
On Wednesday, October 14, 2026, Sunil Bharti Mittal, chairman of Bharti Enterprises and principal shareholder of Eutelsat, indicated he hopes that Eutelsat OneWeb will obtain the final authorizations needed for its satellite internet services in India before its competitor Starlink. The issue concerns the regulatory timeline for commercial launch in the country. On October 2, Eutelsat had also announced the completion of the first series of 32 OneWeb satellites, from a program of 669 spacecraft built by Airbus Defence and Space and intended to renew its constellation. The stock remains at -49.5% over one year, despite today's rebound.
