Facephi certified in Canada and listed on the DIACC Trust List
The Spanish digital identity solutions provider announced the registration of its identity verification service on the Canadian Trusted List, following an independent audit. This certification is part of the group's development in the Canadian market.
LOA2 certification issued after independent audit
Facephi announced that it has been certified under the Pan-Canadian Trust Framework (PCTF), as part of the "Verified Person" component at assurance level LOA2, by the Digital ID and Authentication Council of Canada (DIACC).
This certification follows an audit conducted by an independent third party. The service is now listed on the DIACC's Trusted List, the public registry of identity services that have met the compliance criteria applicable in Canada.
According to the company, PCTF certification is not based on self-declaration: an accredited auditor examines the service against published criteria, independently verifies the conclusions before any certificate is issued, and then publishes the result.
Document verification, biometric and fraud detection integrated
The certified component covers the criteria that govern how a service establishes and confirms that a person is who they claim to be.
Facephi specified that it brings together document and biometric verification, behavioral signals, fraud detection and compliance control within the same platform. The company presents this approach as being based on the principle that identity is a continuous state, not a verification performed only once when entering into a relationship.
José Israel Castro, Identity Solutions Senior Manager North America at Facephi, stated: "Fraud in Canada is not a technological problem waiting for a better algorithm. It is a matter of trust, and trust needs evidence."
