Gecina signs two leases of 11.5 and 11 years for 29,000 m² at La Défense
Gecina announced on October 12, 2026 the signature of two firm leases of 11.5 and 11 years, for a total of 29,000 m², on Building B and Adamas, two buildings adjacent to Shape (formerly Tower T1) at Paris La Défense.
Nuclear sector group as tenant of entire Building B by mid-2028
The first lease was concluded with an international nuclear energy group. It covers 100% of Building B, or 21,000 m², located in the immediate vicinity of Tower T1, now named Shape. Its firm duration is 11.5 years, with an effective date of mid-2028. According to Gecina, the tenant notably chose this asset for its large bright and modular open-plan spaces, adapted to new office uses. The real estate company also highlights the energy performance of the building, presented as already aligned with the 2040 objectives of the Tertiary Decree.
Current occupant of Building B will move to Adamas for 11 firm years
In parallel, Gecina signed an 11-year firm lease with the current occupant of Building B, a digital security company. It will move to the adjacent building Adamas, which has 8,000 m². This transaction brings Adamas to 100% occupancy. The real estate company presents it as an illustration of its ability to leverage the size and diversity of its portfolio to offer its tenants solutions adapted to the evolution of their needs.
Demand up 25% at La Défense over nine months
Gecina places these signatures in a market where placed demand increased by 25% in the first nine months of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025. The company cites the quarter's multimodal transport hub, which will place nearly one-third of the Île-de-France population within 30 minutes of Paris La Défense by 2031. For Marie Caniac, Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of the Offices division, "these two new leases concretely illustrate our active management of our portfolio: precisely identifying our clients' needs and transforming them into tailor-made solutions, while securing occupancy of our operating portfolio over the long term".
