GTT Energy unveils two offerings for LNG carriers and container ships

An ecosystem of services for the performance of LNG carrier fleets

GTT Energy launched the LNG Performance Centre, an ecosystem of services designed for LNG carriers to meet the visibility needs of shipowners, charterers and crews regarding vessel operations. The offering is built on three pillars: cargo management, voyage optimization and monitoring of containment system performance.

These services rely on expert advice and captains available 24 hours a day, as well as digital solutions based on GTT's proprietary data and advanced models. According to the press release, containment technologies currently equip 86% of the global LNG carrier fleet in operation, representing nearly 20,000 cumulative years of operational experience at sea.

The group presents this initiative as a new step in the development of services covering the entire lifecycle of vessels.

An LNG fuel containment solution at 2 barg for container ships

GTT Energy presented a standardized cubic geometry LNG fuel containment solution intended for container ships, designed to facilitate tank integration and reduce design and construction lead times. The membrane containment system is designed for an operating pressure of up to 2 barg.

This technology obtained Approvals in Principle from Lloyd's Register and Bureau Veritas, received at the SMM 2026 and Gastech 2026 shows. The group indicates that this offering builds on experience gained in the cruise ship segment, where tanks designed for 2 barg pressure have been in operation for more than five years.
