Haffner Energy validates syngas production from its H6 technology
The Vitry-le-François company has had its syngas production methodology and data validated by an international certification body for its new generation H6 technology. This validation comes just days after the capital increase reserved for Mundi Énergies announced on July 27.
Independent validation of H6 generation
Haffner Energy announced on August 6, 2026 that it has reached the qualification milestone concerning the methodology and syngas production data generated by its H6 technology, a synthesis gas produced via its biomass thermolysis process.
This qualification, carried out under the supervision of an international certification body, validates the stable production of syngas as well as the mechanical behavior of the H6, in line with the modeling established during its design. According to the company, the system operates reliably from commissioning and at sustained production rates.
Haffner Energy presents this stage as decisive for the commercial deployment of this new generation, intended to be installed in C-iC modules, particularly as part of the CORE100 reservation program.
Hydrogen for mobility targeted for autumn 2026
Haffner Energy indicates that the next qualification stage, scheduled for autumn 2026, will focus on the production of mobility-grade hydrogen, the most demanding application in terms of gas purity.
The company specifies that the success of this stage would extend the validated performance of the H6 to the production of renewable methane and methanol, applications requiring less stringent purification. It recalls that the conversion of purified syngas into renewable methane or methanol relies on catalytic processes deployed commercially for over fifty years.
Marc Haffner, Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of technology and co-founder, stated that the H6 has been completely redesigned to eliminate the main failure modes identified and is designed to operate more than 8,000 hours per year, adding that stable syngas production was achieved from the first biomass feed.
