Hermès Share: Four-Year Low at €1,260.00 Following UBS Downgrade
The Parisian leather goods manufacturer hits a new intraday low amid a declining CAC 40. The stock is accelerating a slide that has been underway for several months, as an investment bank has just downgraded its rating on the security.
A Four-Year Low That Distances the Stock From Its Three Moving Averages
The Hermès share declines 2.5% to €1,267.00, ranking third among the CAC 40's largest losers (-1.1% for the index). It touched €1,260.00 during the session, a four-year low that breaks the previous floor of €1,273.00 established in 2022. The decline reaches 13% over one month and nearly 23% over three months.
This decline maintains a marked gap with the moving averages: the price is 7.7% below the 20-day moving average and 27.2% below the 200-day moving average. The RSI at 31 remains close to the oversold zone without having breached it.

UBS has revised its rating on the security today, from "hold" to "sell", and its price target has been reduced from €1,695 to €1,168. This new target sits approximately 8% below the current price. The downgrade comes in a luxury sector where Chinese economic conditions remain uncertain: jewelry and gold sales declined 17.5% year-over-year in August according to official statistics. At the publication of first-half 2026 results on July 29, the group noted an unfavorable currency impact of more than €360 million on its revenue.
