Hermès Shares Bounce 2.36% to €1,711, Regaining Its Moving Average
Hermès International shares have risen by 2.36% to €1,711 at midday, in a CAC 40 that is slightly down by 0.11%. The luxury house is among the top performers in the flagship Paris index. The luxury sector is pulling several stocks upwards, contrary to the general trend.
Luxury Sector Boosts the Market, Hermès Among CAC 40 Leaders
Hermès ranks as the second largest gain in the CAC 40 session, just behind Kering which is up 2.77%. Other luxury stocks are also on the rise: LVMH is up 1.66% and Christian Dior by 1.39%. The sector is moving against the trend of a generally declining Paris index, weighed down by Capgemini (-2.62%) and Bouygues (-2.34%). Internationally, the context remains supportive for cyclical stocks: the Nikkei closed up 5.58%, the Hang Seng up 1.58%, and the Dow Jones ended up 1.24%. Today's rebound allows Hermès shares to erase some of the decline accumulated: the weekly performance now stands at 6.44%. Over three months, the stock is still down 16.74%, particularly following a more than 10% drop on April 15, after the announcement of the first quarter revenue.
A Return to the 20-Day Moving Average, Eyeing the €1,783 Resistance
The stock has returned to its 20-day moving average, located at €1,678.14, after several sessions below it. Longer moving averages remain distant above: the MM50 at €1,769.49 and the MM200 at €2,035.75, indicating a medium and long-term bearish trend. The RSI at 48 remains neutral, without a clear directional signal. The next resistance is identified at €1,783, which is about 4.2% above the current price. In the medium term, during the announcement of the 2025 annual results (on February 11, 2026), the group confirmed an ambitious target for constant rate revenue growth. The next key date on the calendar will be the publication of the semi-annual results for 2026, scheduled for July 29.
