Hermès: stock rises nearly 2%, among the strongest gains in the CAC 40
The Parisian luxury leather goods maker is recovering ground mid-morning, with the CAC 40 trending upward. This rebound comes after several weeks of decline that have pushed the stock away from its moving averages, while tension persists on French debt.
A rebound that places Hermès at the top of the Paris index
The Hermès stock gains 1.95% to €1,309.50, placing it among the strongest gainers in the CAC 40, which advances 0.57% at the same time. The stock has been declining since summer: it is still down 6.4% over one month and nearly 21% over three months. Today's rebound thus remains modest in light of this drift.
The price stands below its 20-day moving average (€1,325.20, a gap of 1.2%), and the RSI at 36 signals a stock still under pressure, but further from the oversold zone reached in early October. Other luxury names are following the same trend: LVMH is up 1.37%, Christian Dior up 1%, and Kering up 1.19%, after a decline of 6.7% over one month for LVMH and 10.7% for Kering. The French bond market, with a 10-year OAT at 4.86% according to the latest Bank of France reading, remains one of the session's tension points.
