HRS Installs Hydrogen Station at Kourou Space Center
French hydrogen refueling station manufacturer HRS is expanding into French Guiana with the installation of a station at the Kourou Space Center. A refueling demonstration is scheduled for Wednesday, June 24, from the HRS40 station at Saint-Exupéry, ahead of the HYGUANE project aimed at developing heavy hydrogen mobility in the region.
HRS announces the installation of an HRS14 station at the Kourou Space Center, ordered in December 2024 by ALLDIS-NERIUS as part of the HYGUANE (Hydrogène Guyanais À Neutralité Environnementale) project. This station is expected to catalyze the development of heavy hydrogen mobility and initiate the low-carbon transport transition in the Guyanese territory. The demonstration on Tuesday, June 24, will include the refueling of a HYLIKO 350 bar truck featuring the colors of ESA (European Space Agency), CNES, and MT-Aerospace, operated from the HRS40 station located in Saint-Exupéry in July 2025. This event aims to promote the hydrogen ecosystem of the space port and the stakeholders in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
