Inventiva shares reclaim their 50-day moving average and gain 3%, among the strongest gains in the SBF 120
The Burgundy-based biotech specializing in fibrotic and metabolic diseases is rising early in the afternoon, in a Paris market that is slightly lower. This gain places it at the top of the index table and extends the rebound begun last week, although its long-term averages remain far above the current price.
A stock back above its short- and medium-term averages
Inventiva shares are up 2.95% at €3.32, while the SBF 120 is down 0.1%. The move places the stock among the strongest gainers in the index, in a market weighed down by tension over French debt, with the 10-year OAT yield at 4.93%.
The share price is 9.9% above its MM20, at €3.02, and 0.9% above its MM50, at €3.29. This contrasts with the MM200, at €4.15, which remains 20% above the stock price. This rebound follows a 12.6% decline over three months, and the 5.6% gain over one month only recovers part of that loss.
The stock had already broken above €3.38 on October 28, a threshold that remains its resistance level and that Tuesday's price has not reached.
First-half accounts with no revenue, but financing announced in June
When the first-half 2026 results were published on July 29, the company reported no revenue, compared with €4.5 million a year earlier. It then indicated that its cash did not cover requirements for the next twelve months and set its financing horizon at the end of the second quarter of 2027, without additional funding.
The transactions announced on June 2, a capital offering of €103 million and a €75 million financing, form the basis of this horizon.
In addition, a tranche C could bring in up to €20 million, and the exercise of warrants could generate up to €116 million. Inventiva is listed in Paris and on the Nasdaq in the form of ADSs (one ADS equals one share), but only the Paris line is eligible for the PEA.
The €3.38 level is the stock's next resistance, with support at €2.65 at the bottom of its range.
