bioMérieux tops the SBF 120 and jumps 5% after its Q3 sales
The in vitro diagnostics manufacturer posts the strongest gain in the index, after a busy calendar for the Paris market. The session coincides with the publication of its third-quarter results, accompanied by a target price increase from a broker.
A Q3 above expectations and 2026 objectives confirmed by the group
bioMérieux published this morning revenue of €1,042 million for the third quarter, up 8.1% at constant currency and scope.
Cumulative organic growth over nine months stands at 2.7%, showing an acceleration from one quarter to the next, since the first quarter still showed a 3.9% decline. The figure exceeded the average of the three analysts in the consensus, who expected €1.01 billion.
The group confirms its 2026 annual targets for growth and contributive current operating income, despite a further decline in sales of Biofire respiratory panels, attributed to lower circulation of pathogens than in 2025.
In this context, the third-quarter revenue serves as a support for the session, while the CAC 40 remains stable. The stock gains 5.09% to €95, ahead of Medincell, the second-best performer in the SBF 120 today with 3.49%.
A share price above its 150-session highs, supported by Oddo BHF
The stock is trading above its moving averages: the gap reaches 8.71% with the MM20 at €87.39 and 17.71% with the MM200 at €80.71. It has broken upward through its 150-session high of €93.65, which now acts as support, after a gain of nearly 24% over one month.
The RSI at 81 signals an overbought configuration, with no predictive value. On the analyst side, Oddo BHF raises its price target from €84 to €100 today, with an outperform rating, representing a potential of 5.3% compared with the current price. The next identified level is resistance at €114.80.
