Inventiva: the stock, among the steepest declines on the SBF 120, drops 14.5% in one month
The Burgundy biotech company specializing in fibrotic and metabolic diseases is losing ground at midday, while the SBF 120 advances slightly. The stock ranks at the bottom of the index and extends a correction phase that began several weeks ago. The movement follows a Paris market focused on French debt, with a 10-year OAT close to its highs.
A value moving away from its moving averages, three weeks after its low
The Inventiva stock loses 1.36% to €2.90, among the steepest declines on the SBF 120, while the index gains 0.28%. The decline reaches 14.71% over one month and 22.25% over three months, a drop that leaves the price far from its medium and long-term benchmarks: The 50-day MA at €3.60 is 19.44% above the price, with the 200-day MA at €4.26 standing 31.92% higher. The stock is also approaching its support level at €2.77, already at the center of the September 29 session. The RSI at 41 has returned to neutral territory, after the extreme oversold levels observed in late September, which leaves the price without marked buying momentum.
Strengthened cash position of €166.1 million, but no revenue in the half-year
During the publication of H1 2026, on July 30, the company reported a cash position of €166.1 million as of June 30, resulting from the capital offering of €103 million and the financing operation of €75 million announced on June 2. No revenue was recorded in the half-year, compared with €4.5 million a year earlier, and the cash runway extends to the end of the second quarter of 2027 without additional financing. Tranche C of the financing operation could bring up to €20 million, and the exercise of warrants from tranche 3 up to €116 million.
Inventiva is listed on two markets: the ordinary share in Paris, eligible for the PEA, and the ADS on Nasdaq, at the rate of one share for one ADS. The next major milestone remains the primary results of the phase 3 NATiV3 study, which the company is preparing following its half-year review.
