Kering appoints Sophie Maddaloni as General Secretary and integrates her into the Executive Committee

Immediate assumption of duties at the Executive Committee

Kering announced on September 15, 2026 the appointment of Sophie Maddaloni to the position of General Secretary of the group, with immediate effect. Based in Paris, she joins the Executive Committee and reports to Jean-Marc Duplaix, in his capacity as Chief Operating Officer of the group.

In her new role, she is responsible for the group's governance and protection of its interests, as well as compliance with regulatory standards. She supervises the Legal, Internal Control, Internal Audit and Security departments, in coordination with the General Management and the Board of Directors.

A career path initiated at Kering in 2017

Sophie Maddaloni began her career in 1991 at Elf Aquitaine, where she held various international tax positions for more than ten years. She then joined Alstom T&D in 2002 as Vice President Tax, then Technip in 2004, where she led the tax functions and legal entities of the group.

She joined Kering in 2017 as Director of Group Tax, a position in which she led the transformation of the tax function and contributed to the strengthening of the compliance and risk management systems. She holds a master's degree in business law from Paris II Panthéon-Assas University and a DESS in law and taxation of international business from HEC Paris – University of Sceaux.
