Kerlink launches Wirnet iEdge, its new LoRaWAN gateway for smart buildings
Kerlink presented on October 14, 2026 two versions of its new indoor LoRaWAN gateway, Wirnet iEdge and Wirnet iEdge+, at the opening of the Intelligent Building Systems (IBS) trade show at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. According to the group, this is its second major product line extension this year, following the launch in March of the outdoor Wirnet iStation M2 gateway.
A gateway that processes data on-site
The Wirnet iEdge series is designed to connect, process and integrate sensor data directly with building management systems and IoT platforms. Equipped with an industrial Cortex-A35 processor, it can host on-site applications and enables real-time data processing, protocol conversion and local decision-making without resorting to the cloud. A 4G/5G cellular connection is offered as an option. The gateway supports BACnet, Modbus and MQTT protocols and declares itself compatible with the Niagara Framework platform. The iEdge+ version features a dual-core processor, more memory and storage, and can accommodate, for example, an embedded LoRaWAN network server and a building management environment. "We have built an open platform that allows customers and partners to deploy customized solutions," said Yann Bauduin, Commercial Director of Kerlink. The group links this series to European energy efficiency regulations, which aim for consumption reductions in existing buildings by 2030. The use cases mentioned cover building technical management, energy monitoring and optimization, heating, ventilation and air conditioning control, occupancy monitoring, air quality and predictive maintenance.
Initial commercialization in the EMEA region
Distribution will rely on Kerlink's global network of distributors. Initial availability concerns the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, before expansion to North America, Latin America and Asia-Pacific. Designed and manufactured in France, the gateway integrates KEROS v7 firmware, declares compliance with the European RED directive on cybersecurity and benefits from a lifetime warranty. "Kerlink's recent product launches coincide with growth in some of our key markets," said William Gouesbet, Chief Executive Officer, who is leading the team present at stand K37 of the trade show on October 14 and 15. According to him, private operators, particularly in smart buildings and industry, are showing sustained demand for the group's products. Listed on Euronext Growth Paris, Kerlink claims more than 320,000 installations deployed with over 780 customers in 86 countries.
