Laboratoires Euromedis: Net Profit of €3.9M in First Half 2026, Driven by a Property Disposal
Laboratoires Euromedis published its first-half 2026 accounts on October 30, 2026, approved the previous day by the Board of Directors. Net profit reached €3.9M, compared with €0.1M a year earlier, a level that notably reflects the impact of the disposal of the Neuilly-sous-Clermont property complex.
Excluding this exceptional item, operations improved: gross operating profit (EBITDA) came to €1.8M, compared with €0.1M. However, the company expects less favorable operating profitability in the second half, as well as a negative impact on its cash position of approximately €4.3M related to the tax matter.
Revenue Up 11.6% and Gross Margin Increased to 34.0%
Net revenue stood at €22.8M in the first half of 2026, compared with €20.4M a year earlier, an increase of 11.6%. Growth was driven by sales in France and, more particularly, by exports and intra-EU sales, whose revenue rose from €1.9M to €3.0M.
Gross margin, transport costs on purchases included, reached €7.8M, up 36%. As a percentage of revenue, it stood at 34.0%, compared with 27.9% in the first half of 2025. Meanwhile, transport costs on purchases increased by 22.8% to €1.1M.
This improvement is also reflected in gross operating profit, which rose from €0.1M to €1.8M. Operating income turned positive at €0.3M (1.1% of revenue), compared with a loss of €0.1M in the first half of 2025.
Net Profit of €3.9M Driven by Exceptional Income
Between gross operating profit and operating income, depreciation, amortization, impairment and provisions amounted to €1,547k, compared with €782k a year earlier. Provisions for risks and charges accounted for €1,392k of this total, compared with none in the first half of 2025.
Following the tax audit mentioned when the 2025 annual results were published, the company recorded an additional provision of €1.4M during the half-year. On the balance sheet, provisions for risks and charges rose from €2,632k at December 31, 2025, to €4,023k at June 30, 2026.
Net profit of €3.9M is supported by exceptional income of €4,330k, which includes the net impact of the property disposal. According to the company, this transaction is part of the ongoing logistics reorganization and contributes to the optimization of its cost structure. After tax of €602k, net profit represents 17.1% of revenue.
Less Favorable Operating Profitability and €4.3M Cash Outflow Expected
The financial structure strengthened as of June 30, 2026: shareholders' equity reached €20.3M, compared with €16.6M a year earlier. Net financial debt is negative at €13.9M, compared with €7.5M, giving a gearing of -68.4%. Cash and cash equivalents stood at €19.1M, compared with €16.7M at December 31, 2025.
For the second half, management expects the commercial momentum to continue but anticipates less favorable operating profitability than in the first half. It cites rising sea freight costs and the volatility of the €/$ exchange rate, which weigh on procurement costs and margins.
The company intends to continue optimizing its supply chain and to adapt its pricing policy to changes in its purchasing conditions. It also mentions the budgetary pressures in the public hospital sector, which affect payment terms on certain contracts, with payment periods that remain long.
Regarding the tax matter, the second half is expected to be marked by the finalization of its accounting treatment, as well as a negative impact on cash of approximately €4.3M. The company indicates that it will continue to contest the adjustments notified.
