Legrand Share: One of the Strongest Declines on the CAC 40, Stock Falls 2%
The manufacturer of electrical equipment for buildings is declining sharply in early afternoon, in a CAC 40 that is also oriented downward. This decline occurs after two target price increases, and it is accompanied by a market context marked by tension on French debt.
A Decline of 2% That Brings the Stock Below Its 200-Day Moving Average
The Legrand share loses 1.98% to €138.35, while the CAC 40 falls 0.87% and the SBF 120 declines 0.93%. The stock thus ranks among the strongest declines on the Paris index. It falls below its 200-day MA at €140.62 (a gap of 1.61%), while remaining close to its 20-day and 50-day MAs, respectively at €138.83 and €138.04.
The session is taking place in a market under pressure: the OAT-Bund spread stands at 134.4 basis points at the opening of discussions on the 2027 budget, while the yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury has reached an unprecedented peak since 2002. The Limoges-based manufacturer loses 2.3% over a week, but remains close to its level a year ago (-2.5%).

Jefferies raised its target from €168 to €170 on October 7, maintaining its buy rating. The day before, Alphavalue increased its target from €147 to €173, moving from "underperform" to "accumulate". Compared to today's price, these two targets open a potential of 23% and 25% respectively.
The analyst consensus is strengthening at a time when the stock is weakening. As a reminder, the group had raised its 2030 targets on September 29, targeting organic growth of 6 to 8% per year. The support at €132.35 and the resistance at €148.40 now frame the stock's movement.
