Nacon Sets Aside 2.5 Million Euros for Dispute with Nintendo
The video game and accessories group Nacon has released its semi-annual financial report for 2025-2026 after a delay due to accounting reprocessing. According to the statement, auditors required the recognition of a 2.5 million euro provision related to an old dispute with Nintendo.
Accounting Reprocessing Leads to Financial Report Delay
During the review of the accounts for the first half of 2025-2026, Nacon's auditors took a stance on an ongoing litigation, the company reports. This position necessitated a reprocessing of the initially published semi-annual accounts on November 24. The company had to recognize a provision of 2.5 million euros linked to this dispute, according to the statement. This reprocessing also led to a delay in making the semi-annual financial report available, which is now accessible on the group's website.

The dispute dates back more than 15 years and involves patents held by Nintendo, according to the group. The controversy concerns controllers that are no longer marketed by the company. Recently, German courts have ruled on this case and issued a decision unfavorable to Bigben Interactive Gmbh, a distribution subsidiary of Nacon. The litigation is detailed on page 200 of the Universal Registration Document 2024-2025, the company specifies.
