Nearly 14% decline in one month: Vicat share (cement) extends its downward trend

A month of decline that distances the stock from its three moving averages

The Vicat share is losing 2.08% to €56.60 during the session, while the SBF 120 is down 0.94% and the CAC 40 down 0.87%. Over one month, the decline reaches 13.85%, and the price is now 5.30% below its 20-day moving average and 14.48% below its 200-day moving average. The stock has already broken through its support level of €57.80 on October 1st, and this level is now slightly exceeded on the downside. The RSI at 40 remains in neutral territory: the decline is established, without marked selling exhaustion.

A solid half-year, revised targets and an acquisition under negotiation

The fundamentals published this summer contrast with the stock market performance. During the publication of first-half 2026 results on July 30th, the group had raised its annual targets and aimed for growth of 7% to 9% on a constant scope and currency basis. Among the risks mentioned on that occasion was the increase in energy costs, expected to be more pronounced in the second half.

On October 1st, Vicat also announced exclusive negotiations to take over 48 concrete plants from Cemex in the South-East. Based on the consensus of surveyed analysts, the stock is trading at approximately 8.9 times current fiscal year earnings. The support at €57.80 is now behind the price, and the 20-day moving average at €59.77 is the first benchmark to recover.
