Ranked 114th out of 120 values, the cable manufacturer is among the strongest declines of the SBF 120, going against the grain of a globally stable European market. This decline erases part of the rebound recorded Friday, September 25, which had propelled the stock to the top of the index. Over one month, performance remains in the red at -6.52%, a sign of a bearish momentum gradually setting in since the end of summer.

Technical configuration deteriorates: three moving averages lost and support at €131.40 in sight

The price of Nexans is trading below its three reference moving averages: the MA20 at €138.36 (gap of -3.58%), the MA50 at €137.20 (-2.77%) and the MA200 at €136.39 (-2.19%). The stock had simultaneously moved above these three thresholds upward on September 21, before losing them again within a week, illustrating the fragility of this rebound. The RSI at 46 remains neutral, with no marked signal of selling exhaustion, which leaves the door open for a continuation of the decline toward the support level at €131.40.

During the first half 2026 results published on July 29, the group had raised its annual guidance with an EBITDA target of 805 million euros, but this favorable guidance is not enough to contain the current selling pressure.
