Nexans stock rebounds 4% in one week after Q3
The Courbevoie cable manufacturer bounces back mid-morning in a well-oriented Paris market. The stock is recovering a week after the publication of its third quarter results, which had been accompanied by a sharp decline in its quotation.
A rebound that reclaims the MM20 but leaves the stock below its two other averages
The Nexans stock is trading at €126.90 and advancing 2.26% against a CAC 40 gaining 1.11%. The stock is above its MM20 (€125.72, spread of +0.94%), but remains below the MM50 (€133.10) and the MM200 (€136.59), at 7.09% distance from the latter.
The RSI at 50 is neutral: it has not regained momentum after the 4.87% decline recorded over one month. The 4.02% gain over seven days mitigates this decline without erasing it. The floor at €118.60, broken on October 22, was lost on the day of the quarterly publication. The price is now moving away from it.
A third quarter up 21.4%, confirmed objectives and a €44M share buyback
On October 22, Nexans published revenue of €1,698.2M in the third quarter, up 21.4% year-on-year, of which 9.0% organic growth. Annual objectives were confirmed.
During this publication of the first nine months of 2026, the group targeted EBITDA of 805 million euros for the following fiscal year. It also noted the contrast between PWR-Grid, with organic growth of 14.8% in the third quarter, and PWR-Transmission, down 4.0%.
The comparison promises to be more demanding in the fourth quarter, as organic growth reached 40.0% a year earlier.
Nexans also repurchased €44M of its shares over twelve months, representing 0.8% of its market capitalization, according to its latest declaration of October 19. The two remaining moving averages to break through, at €133.10 then €136.59, mark the way forward for the stock.
