One of the strongest rises on the SBF 120: Elis stock gains 2% during the session
The specialist in linen and workwear rental and maintenance services is making a clear recovery during the session, in a slightly upward-oriented Paris market. This rebound comes a few days after a target price increase from a Swiss bank and as the stock emerges from an extended period of decline.
A stock that rises back above its 20-day moving average after a quarterly decline
The Elis stock is up 2.02% to €22.26, compared to €21.82 the previous day, while the SBF 120 gains 0.21%. This places the stock among the strongest gainers in the index. The movement allows the value to move back above its 20-day moving average (€21.70), while the 50-day and 200-day averages (€23.08 and €25.21) remain above the price. Over the week, the gain reaches 5.3%, which mitigates but does not erase the 13.25% decline over three months. The RSI at 45.7 remains in moderate oversold territory: the rebound does not have the violence of an extreme reversal.
Short sellers, for their part, are easing the pressure. According to filed declarations, two funds combined hold 1.24% of capital, compared to 3.10% thirty days ago. Such a decline suggests positions unwound following the fall in recent months, though we cannot infer the intentions of the funds concerned. The current level remains modest.
