Orange Business Obtains Second SecNumCloud Qualification for Cloud Avenue
The National Agency for Information Systems Security (ANSSI) has qualified SecNumCloud for new environments of Orange Business's Cloud Avenue offering, announced the Orange group subsidiary in a press release published on October 7, 2026. This qualification of Cloud Avenue SecNum Dynamic complements the one obtained in July 2025 and brings to two the number of trusted cloud offerings in its range.
Two Offerings Qualified According to Usage Criticality Level
The range now rests on two environments presented as complementary. Cloud Avenue SecNum offers a shared or single-site dedicated environment, intended for organizations seeking a trusted cloud for their sovereign projects. This offering allows combining on the same environment the SecNumCloud qualification and ISO 27001 and HDS certifications.
The newly qualified Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) environments target the most critical applications and data, which require reinforced levels of resilience and isolation. They rely on resources entirely dedicated to the customer and physically isolated, as well as on an architecture capable of operating in active/active mode between two data centers located in Val-de-Reuil and Chartres.
The offering also integrates dedicated GPU servers for artificial intelligence, intended notably for inference workloads and model training. Orange Business thus indicates its wish to cover a broader spectrum of projects, ranging from sovereign cloud needs to infrastructures requiring the highest levels of resilience, isolation, and computing capacity.
Strengthened Regulatory Framework and "Trust the Future" Strategy
The announcement comes after the decree of August 12, 2026, which approved version 3.2 of the SecNumCloud framework. This text clarified the requirements applicable to certain cloud services used by the State, its operators, and public interest groupings for processing data of particular sensitivity.
"With this second SecNumCloud qualification, we are expanding our range to support organizations in their most sensitive projects, whether it is protecting critical data, ensuring business continuity, or deploying trusted artificial intelligence," declared Aliette Mousnier-Lompré, Chief Executive Officer of Orange Business.
According to the press release, this qualification is part of the Orange group's "Trust the Future" strategy, which makes trust a lever for growth and innovation for businesses. The group also links it to the project of creating a data center joint venture announced with Morrison, intended to strengthen hosting capacity in France and Europe.
