Orange Share: Down 10% for the Quarter, but Stock Rebounds 1.5% During Trading Session
After several weeks of decline, the telecoms operator's share is recovering this Tuesday in a Paris market oriented upward. The rebound occurs as the price trades well below its moving averages and pressure on the sector has persisted since the beginning of the academic year.
A 1.7% Rebound that Recovers Only a Fraction of the Three-Month Decline
The Orange share gains 1.71% to €14.27 during trading, while the CAC 40 advances 0.68%. The stock ranks in the middle of the index table, far from the day's strongest gains. This recovery remains modest compared to a 10.03% decline over three months and 6.98% over one month: it mitigates the decline without reversing it. The €14.40 support broken on September 23 is now above the current price, and the last brief published on the stock on September 29 already noted a 9% drop over one month.
The price is below its 20-day moving average (gap of 3.25%) and its 200-day moving average (gap of 13.57%). The RSI at 34 is approaching the oversold zone without entering it, which describes a weakened but not yet exhausted security.

During the publication of H1 2026 results on July 28, the group raised its annual targets. The accounts showed double-digit growth in Africa and the Middle East (+13.9% revenue) and the transition to exclusive control of MasOrange. On the downside, Orange Business declined 3.1% and net debt reached €35.7 billion, representing 2.4 times EBITDAaL.
Yet the stock is trading at €14.27, far from its pre-summer levels, in a bond market where the 10-year OAT stands at 4.90% according to the Bank of France report of October 2. The next key benchmark to note is the resistance threshold at €15.96, well above the current price.
