Pernod Ricard share breaks through 64.50 € resistance ahead of October 15 sales figures
The spirits group dominates the CAC 40 at mid-session in a slightly rising Paris market. The stock reached a technical level that has been monitored for several weeks, just days before its next earnings announcement.
A resistance level breached during trading, followed by a slight pullback
The Pernod Ricard share gains 2.72% to 64.16 € and holds the top position in the CAC 40, which advances 0.26%. It broke through its 64.50 € resistance level to touch 64.66 €, before retreating slightly below this threshold. This increase extends a weekly rebound of 10.54%, while the stock remains down 23.33% over one year. The price is now above its 20-day moving average (6.95% spread) and its 50-day moving average (1.04%), but still 4.76% below the 200-day moving average at 67.37 €.
The RSI at 57 leaves room before any overbought zone. Rémy Cointreau, the only comparable value available, gains 5.50% on the same day, following an 8.4% increase over one month. Within the CAC 40, luxury stocks are conversely leading declines, with Kering at -2.6%, Hermès at -2.52% and LVMH at -2.02%.

The financial calendar provides for the publication of revenue for the first quarter of fiscal year 2026-2027 on October 15. During the annual results published on August 27, 2026, the group indicated it expects organic revenue to be broadly stable over the fiscal year, in an environment it describes as mixed and uncertain. The sector context remains challenging: French exports of spirits declined 6.5% in value in 2024 according to FEVS, including 10.9% for cognac.
The stock had moreover touched a five-year low on September 29, at 58.72 €, which puts the extent of the current rebound in perspective. The next milestone is therefore the October 15 publication.
