Pierre Auberger Assumes Presidency of the Francis Bouygues Foundation
Pierre Auberger takes over as president of the Francis Bouygues Foundation, succeeding Jean-François Guillemin. This appointment took place during the board meeting on May 19, 2026, twenty years after the foundation's establishment.
A Presidential Change in the Service of Equal Opportunities
Pierre Auberger, a graduate of ESSEC and former Director of Communications at Bouygues Group, becomes the president of the Francis Bouygues Foundation. He succeeds Jean-François Guillemin, who has led the organization since its inception in 2005. Auberger has previously contributed to the foundation's work as a mentor, supporting three female scholars during their studies and beyond their entry into professional life. His commitment to equal opportunities extends beyond his professional duties. He supports the ESSEC program 'A Grande École, Why Not Me?' (labeled 'Cordées de la réussite'), serves as a board member of the Le Rocher association, and has been a mentor in the ESSEC Alumni women's mentorship program for ten years.
A Foundation Growing for Two Decades
Under the presidency of Jean-François Guillemin, the Francis Bouygues Foundation has seen significant growth. The number of new scholars increased from 60 to 125 per year in less than a decade. The foundation currently supports 550 young people from modest backgrounds, rural areas, overseas territories, students from French high schools abroad, or youth supported by Child Social Services. Since its inception, it has guided 1,540 students towards higher education, 709 of whom have now entered professional life. Beyond the scholarships of excellence, each student receives personal support from a mentor, who is either an employee of the group or a former laureate of the foundation.
