Pommery House Enters Exclusive Negotiations with Henkell International
On Tuesday, Pommery House & Associates announced it is entering exclusive negotiations with Henkell International for a two-month period aimed at a strategic alliance. Henkell International would become the majority shareholder of the Champagne group, bringing together two family-owned groups and their portfolios of complementary brands.
Transaction Subject to Conditions
Pommery House & Associates and Henkell International have initiated exclusive negotiations concerning a strategic combination that would result in strengthening the capital of the Champagne group. The operation aims to create a global sparkling wine player, combining the strengths of two family-owned groups and their portfolios of complementary brands, supported by an international commercial presence.
At this stage, discussions are subject to the completion of due diligence, agreement on the execution of definitive contracts, and, where applicable, obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals. There is no guarantee that a transaction will be concluded.
Governance and Operational Continuity
Pommery House & Associates has formed an ad hoc committee within its board of directors, comprised mostly of independent members, tasked with overseeing these discussions in the interest of the company and its stakeholders. The group will continue its operations as usual, prioritizing operational continuity, supporting its teams, maintaining the quality of its brands, and sustaining strong relationships with its partners.
The general meeting scheduled to approve the annual accounts for 2025, originally planned for June 4, 2026, will be postponed to a date after June 30, 2026.
Scope of Group Activities
Pommery House & Associates is a major player in the Champagne sector. The group controls the entire value chain, from vine cultivation to the production and marketing of wine. It also has a presence in three other wine regions: Provence, Camargue, and Douro. The group is strongly committed to the valorization of terroirs, sustainable viticulture, and environmental preservation.
