Rémy Cointreau share breaks through its resistance at €45.74 in trading before pulling back
The cognac producer is the best-performing value in the index on Tuesday. The movement follows two analyst revisions published Monday and a rebound underway for several weeks.
A resistance broken in trading, a security above its three moving averages
The Rémy Cointreau share gains 5.31% to €45.60, well ahead of the SBF 120 which advances 0.27%. The security broke above its resistance of €45.74 in trading, reaching a high of €46.70, before slipping slightly below. It is also ABOVE its moving averages at 20 days (€42.68, spread of 6.84%), at 50 days (€44.40) and at 200 days (€41.94), which confirms an established rebound.
Over a week, the gain reaches 10.84%. The movement follows the 4% increase on October 7, already among the strongest in the index. Pernod Ricard, another spirits value, gains 2.79% and loses ground over one month at +8.04%, compared to +8.21% for Rémy Cointreau.
Two analyst opinions published Monday, including a €58 target with a buy rating
On Monday, Invest Securities set a price target of €58 with a buy rating, representing potential upside of nearly 27% from the current price. The same day, CIC Market Solutions maintained its hold rating, with a target of €43, below the current price. Both positions can be found in the analyst consensus.
On the market side, filed positions record a cumulative net short position of 4.87% of capital, carried by five funds, up 0.23 points over 30 days: a bearish bet that remains contained but not insignificant. The group also placed €250 million in hybrid bonds at 6.75% on October 1st to continue its debt reduction. The dividend, for its part, was detached in late September, once the share option period closed at €39.21.
