S.E.B. shares rise 2.5%, among the strongest gains in the SBF 120
The small household appliance maker rebounds strongly in early afternoon trading, on a stable Paris market. The move follows mixed first-nine-month results for the group's profitability.
A stock that recovers its 20-day moving average and moves closer to its 50-day moving average
S.E.B. shares gained 2.29% to €55.75 during the session, while the SBF 120 fell 0.1%. The stock ranked among the strongest gainers in the index.
The stock is trading above its 20-day moving average (€55.11, a gap of 1.16%) but remains below its 50-day moving average (€56.35, a gap of 1.06%), which points to a rebound halfway between these two reference levels.
Over one week, the gain reaches 5.79%, while the quarter remains negative at -4.29%. Today's gain therefore eases this decline without erasing it. Resistance is at €58.25 and support at €52.20, a level the stock had defended at the end of October, which limited losses the previous week.
Nine-month results up, but cautious guidance
On October 22, when it published its results for the first nine months of 2026, S.E.B. reported business operating income of €333 million, up 24.5%, on revenue of €5,707 million (+1.1% at constant exchange rates and scope). The operating margin rose from 4.7% to 5.8% of sales.
The Écully-based group nevertheless described a deteriorated macroeconomic and geopolitical environment, with uncertain consumer prospects, cautious inventory management by distributors, and costs under inflationary pressure.
The stock had then fallen 2.5% during the session, despite this improvement in profitability. The MACD remains slightly negative (histogram at -0.064), while the RSI at 52 is neutral. The stock trades at €55.75, or 7.17% above its 200-day moving average (€52.02).
