Sensorion appoints Lou Arcudi, former Chief Financial Officer of Amolyt Pharma, to lead its finances
Sensorion announced on October 7, 2026 the appointment of Louis "Lou" J. Arcudi III as Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. He succeeds Laurene Danon, who decided to step down to pursue new projects and will continue to advise the Chief Executive Officer to ensure an orderly transition.
A former Chief Financial Officer of Amolyt Pharma based in Boston
Lou Arcudi will be based in the Boston area and will report to Fred Chereau, Chief Executive Officer of Sensorion. According to the company, he has served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer at both publicly listed and private biotechnology companies in the United States. Most recently, he was Chief Financial Officer of Amolyt Pharma, a French clinical-stage company specializing in rare endocrine diseases. The company completed a Series C financing of 138 million dollars in 2023, before being acquired by AstraZeneca in 2024 for an amount that could reach 1.05 billion dollars. Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Millendo Therapeutics from 2018 to 2021, then as Chief Executive Officer of that company until its merger with Tempest Therapeutics in 2021. His background also includes positions at Idera Pharmaceuticals, Peptimmune and Genzyme Corporation. He holds an MBA from Bryant University. For Fred Chereau, his experience "will be valuable in driving the international clinical development of SENS-601". The company indicates that this gene therapy program is expected to enter clinical evaluation in the Phase I/II HearConnex trial by early 2027.
Laurene Danon remains as advisor during the transition
Laurene Danon joined Sensorion as interim Chief Financial Officer in October 2023, before being appointed Chief Financial Officer in June 2024. According to the press release, she played a key role in financing operations totaling approximately 125 million euros. These operations include the 60 million euro financing completed in January 2026, which enabled Sanofi to join as a strategic investor. She will support the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Directors during the leadership transition. The company notes that its cash, cash equivalents and short-term deposits classified as current assets amounted to 88 million euros as of June 30, 2026. On this basis, it estimates being able to finance its operations through the end of 2027.
