Sirius Media Initiates Development of a 6-Episode Series by Victoria Bedos
On Thursday, the media group announced the development of an original 6-episode series written by Victoria Bedos, co-writer of 'La Famille Bélier'. This new project is set to enhance the portfolio of creations aimed at major broadcasters and platforms, aligning with the group's strategy to develop content with high commercial value.
A Family Saga in the Hands of a Renowned Author
Sirius Media is launching the development of 'La vie de ma mère', a family saga structured into 6 episodes of 52 minutes each. The project is entrusted to Victoria Bedos, a screenwriter who co-signed 'La Famille Bélier' (nominated for the César Award for Best Original Screenplay in 2015) and wrote the scripts for 'Vicky' and 'La Plus Belle pour aller danser', a film she also directed. The series follows the tradition of major family sagas intended to make a significant impact on audiences. According to the management of the group, the quality of the writing is a crucial asset for marketing to major broadcasters, both in France and internationally.
Development and Commercialization Schedule
The development phase (writing and structuring of episodes) is expected to span 12 months, with commercialization planned to begin by 2027. Numerous contacts have already been initiated with broadcasters and platforms. The group will communicate significant advancements in the project, particularly when agreements are signed with one or more broadcasters. This announcement is part of an ongoing production portfolio: the musical documentary 'Les Architectes du Rap' (6 × 26 min) in partnership with Trace TV, the animated feature film 'Urban Jungle', and recently concluded distribution agreements for the series 'Zoé & Milo' and 'L'Amour (presque) parfait'.
