Société Générale Share: One of the Strongest Gainers on the CAC 40, Following an Analyst Upgrade
The La Défense bank rebounds sharply mid-morning in a rising Paris index. This recovery comes after several weeks of decline and while French yields remain under pressure. A new analyst opinion was released the previous day.
A rebound that places the bank among the strongest gainers on the CAC 40
The Société Générale share gains 3.17% to €68.08, while the CAC 40 advances 0.75%. It ranks among the index's strongest gainers, contrasting with its decline in recent weeks: the security has lost 3.58% over seven days and 7.11% over one month, dividend reinvested. Today's rebound therefore leaves the bulk of the decline intact, particularly as the price remains below its 20-day moving average (€70.82), with a gap of 3.87%.
The RSI at 32 reflects the extent of this selling phase, which today's session merely moderates. The security has been trading ex-dividend since October 5 following the detachment of a dividend of €0.75. Payment of this dividend is scheduled for tomorrow, October 7.
