Thales share climbs 2% and ranks among the strongest gainers on the CAC 40
In a declining Paris market, the defense electronics group stands out during the trading session. This rebound comes after several weeks of decline, while the share still trades below its main moving averages.
A rebound that places Thales in second position on the index
Thales share advances 1.98% to €227.10, compared to €222.70 at the last close, while the CAC 40 falls 1.1% and the SBF 120 drops 1.01%. The share ranks among the strongest gainers on the CAC 40 this Monday, in a market context penalized by tension on French debt, with a 10-year OAT at 4.90% according to the Banque de France reading of October 2. This green session does not erase accumulated losses: Thales remains down 2.78% over one month and 16.2% over one year. The share has been trading ex-dividend since October 1, following the payment of a dividend advance of €1.05 per share, which explains part of the gap over recent sessions.
Below the MA20 at €231.49, the support at €224.50 remains the key nearby reference
Today's rebound brings the price to 1.9% below its 20-day moving average, located at €231.49. The gap widens with longer-term averages: the MA50 (€244.88) and the MA200 (€243.09) are both clearly above the price, by 7.26% and 6.58% respectively. The RSI at 39 remains neutral, with no marked signal.
The group also presented five cybersecurity solutions on Thursday during its Cyber Summit, including a partnership with Google Cloud, and was selected on Friday to supply five air surveillance radars to Ireland via the DGA. On the chart side, support at €224.50 is found less than 1.2% from the current price, while resistance is at €253.10.
