Thales Share: The 224.50 € support breaks, among the sharpest declines in the CAC 40
The defense electronics group is moving counter to a Paris market showing slight gains. This pullback during the session extends a series of difficult months, against a backdrop of persistent tensions surrounding French debt.
A support lost during the session, all moving averages above the price
The Thales share loses 2.16% to 221.90 € and becomes the second sharpest decline in the index, behind Schneider Electric (-3.98%), while the CAC 40 gains 0.34%. The stock broke through its 224.50 € support level during the session and remains below it. It had already brushed this zone last Thursday, briefly breaking through 223.70 € before recovering.
The price is trading 4.05% below its 20-day moving average and 8.71% below its 200-day moving average, confirming a deteriorated configuration as losses reach 5% over one month. Monday's rebound, with a 2% gain, is thus erased by the following day.
A Paris market under pressure over debt and an RSI at 39
The session is taking place in a context of pressure on French debt: the 10-year OAT is trading at 4.72% according to the Banque de France survey of October 6, at 1.27 points from the Bund, or 54 basis points more than a month ago. The 2027 budget proposal is fueling parliamentary debate. The RSI at 39 remains in neutral territory, with no oversold signal.
Over one year, Thales has declined 18.12%. The next technical level to watch is the 251 € resistance, far removed from the current price, while the 224.50 € support now becomes a downside breakout point.
