Thales stock falls below €230, at the bottom of the CAC 40 rankings
The defense equipment, aerospace, and cybersecurity group is declining during the session in a Paris market that is significantly oriented downward. The stock finds itself at the bottom of the index table, just days before a quarterly earnings release.
A sharper decline than that of the index in a CAC 40 under pressure
The Thales stock loses 2.18% to €228.90, compared to €234 at the last close. The CAC 40 drops 1.31% at the same time, in a climate marked by weekend violence in France and pressure on debt. The stock is among the largest declines in the index, far from the top position held by Euronext (+1.91%).
Over seven days, Thales maintains a gain of 4.86%, while it remains down 3.9% over one month. The stock is holding slightly above its 20-day moving average (€226.58, an 1.02% gap), but it is trading below its 50-day moving average (€239.35) and below its 200-day moving average (€242.65). Support at €215.70 is approximately 6% below the current price, while resistance at €240.90 remains on the other side of these two averages.
Third quarter revenue expected on October 22
Thales will publish its third quarter 2026 revenue on October 22. The group has already made multiple announcements in recent weeks: the opening of a service center in Japan, announced on October 14, with a target of increasing its local workforce by 16% by 2030, followed by an interim dividend of €1.05 per share decided at the end of September. The stock is down approximately 2% during the session but maintains a gain of 2.6% over three months, compared to a decline of 6.72% over twelve months. The next earnings appointment is therefore set for October 22.
