Three months, 10.5% decline: Rexel stock slips another 2.5% during the session
The electrical equipment distributor is falling sharply in early afternoon, in a declining Paris market. The security finds itself below all of its medium-term benchmarks, following a period marked by significant financial transactions. However, a brokerage house raised its target this week.
A decline that pushes the security below its three moving averages
The Rexel share loses 2.59% to €33.51, while the SBF 120 falls 0.94% and the CAC 40 declines 0.87%. The stock ranks at the lower end of the index, far from the steepest declines (OPmobility, Forvia) but clearly below average. The price is below its 20-day moving average (gap of -6.42%), its 50-day moving average (-7.51%) and its 200-day moving average (-7.12%), prolonging a 4.96% decline over one week.
The security is also approaching its support level at €34.20, now breached downward. This movement follows a sequence of operations that occupied the end of September: the announced acquisition of American GCG, then a capital increase of approximately 500 million euros whose success was confirmed on September 29. Over one year, performance remains positive at +20.24%.

In this context, analysts' views remain constructive: Morgan Stanley set its price target at €42 on October 6 and adopts an overweight opinion. This target exceeds the current price by nearly 25%. The group had furthermore raised its 2026 objectives during its semi-annual publication on July 27, citing a record order book.
Among the risks mentioned on that occasion was a net financial debt up €690 million since end of 2025, to €3,322 million, a level that the GCG acquisition should not alleviate. The RSI at 43 remains neutral, far from the oversold zone.
