TINC and PMV enter Storm's capital with €20 million
Long-standing partners on wind farms and batteries developed by Storm, the two investors are no longer limited to financing its projects. They become shareholders of the developer itself and join its board of directors.
A joint contribution of €20 million, including €10 million committed by TINC
On 30 October 2026, TINC, an infrastructure investor listed on Euronext Brussels, and PMV, the Flemish investment company, announced their entry into Storm's capital. This Belgian group is active in renewable energies, from onshore wind to battery-based electricity storage.
The two investors together contribute €20 million to Storm. They also take seats on the company's board of directors, which gives them a role in its governance and not merely financial exposure.
For TINC, the transaction corresponds to an investment commitment of €10 million. The company specified that this amount will be financed through its revolving credit facility, whose total amount stands at €300 million.
The nature of the transaction changes the relationship between the three players. Until now, TINC and PMV invested alongside Storm in specific assets, wind farms or battery systems. With this equity stake, they become shareholders of the company that develops these assets.
For an infrastructure investor such as TINC, this upstream position opens exposure to Storm's portfolio of future projects, beyond the assets already built. The transaction is part of Storm's stated ambition to anchor sustainable energy in Belgium with its current and future financial and industrial partners.
A collaboration begun in 2011, expanded to storage in 2026
The relationship between the three players dates back to 2011. Since then, PMV and TINC have invested together, alongside Storm, in Belgian wind farms that total 63 wind turbines, for a capacity of 206.4 MW. The cost of building these wind farms is approximately €390 million.
The partnership extended to electricity storage in spring 2026. The two investors then invested in two large-scale battery systems developed by Storm, located in Ruien and Langerlo.
These two facilities together represent a power of 300 MW and a storage capacity of 1,200 MWh, for a construction cost of €330 million. These amounts refer to the construction cost of the assets, not solely to the contribution of TINC and PMV.
They nonetheless give an idea of the scale of the projects Storm has carried, to be compared with the investment announced this time at the level of the company itself. The sequence reflects a gradual expansion of the partnership: onshore wind first, then storage, and now the capital of the developer.
Storm aims for a platform extended beyond wind and batteries
Storm presents itself as an established name in the energy transition in Belgium. The group holds a portfolio of projects in development totaling 624 MW in onshore wind, to which are added large-scale battery projects and fast-charging stations for electric vehicles in Belgium.
It also operates as a developer in Ireland, where it has been active for several years. Its objective is to become an extended platform for sustainable energy, building on its historical activities of onshore wind and battery storage.
On the investor side, TINC holds a diversified portfolio of stakes in public, energy, digital and social infrastructure, in Belgium, France, Ireland and the Netherlands. PMV, for its part, manages and advises a portfolio of €4.77 billion.
