Ubisoft Entertainment Share: -48.5% Over One Year, Down 2.5%
The Breton publisher's share has fallen back into the red following the previous day's rebound, in a Paris market clearly oriented downward. It has slipped below a long-term technical level it had just reclaimed, while short-selling sentiment remains very prevalent.
The Share Falls Below Its Three Moving Averages, at Support Level
Ubisoft Entertainment is down 2.63% to €4.99 in late afternoon trading, as the SBF 120 index declines 1.38%. The share is now trading below its three moving averages: the 200-day moving average at €5.02 is only 0.58% above the current price, while the 20-day moving average at €5.27 and the 50-day moving average at €5.31 are more than 5% higher. The support level at €4.86, located less than 3% below the current price, becomes the nearest level of support. Over one month, the share maintains a gain of 2.8%, but the week closes with a decline of 6.64%, and the one-year decline exceeds 48%.
Eleven Percent of Capital Sold Short, a Level Down Over One Month
Ten funds hold a net short position totaling 11% of capital, according to filed declarations, the most recent dated October 1st. The level remains elevated, signaling that a notable portion of institutional investors are still betting on a share price decline or seeking to hedge their exposure. The trend is nonetheless toward easing: the total was 13.08% thirty days ago, a decrease of 2.08 percentage points, which does not indicate worsening investor confidence. Today's trading session, however, has brought the share toward the lower end of the index ranking, in a market penalized by tension in French government debt, with a 10-year OAT at 4.83% according to the latest reading from the Banque de France.
