Valeo: the stock breaks through its 15.5 € resistance level
The automotive equipment manufacturer is enjoying a distinctly positive trading session in a Paris market that is retreating slightly. The stock is climbing to the upper end of the SBF 120 and continuing a recovery that has been underway for several weeks.
A resistance overcome, with all three moving averages well below the current price
Valeo gains 3.44% to €15.66 during the session, among the strongest gains in the SBF 120, while the index falls 0.34% and the CAC 40 drops 0.38%. The stock has broken above its 15.5 € resistance level and is holding above it, which extends a weekly gain of 7.4%. The price is 6.9% above its 20-day moving average, 7.7% above its 50-day moving average and 22.4% above its 200-day moving average.
Declared net short positions total 9.53% of the capital, distributed among seven funds, and have declined by 0.80 point over thirty days. This level remains elevated: it shows that a significant portion of the capital remains positioned to the downside, but bearish pressure has eased over the past month.
OVH Cloud and data center cooling: Valeo targets an opportunity outside the automotive sector
In a statement dated October 7, the equipment manufacturer announces that it will present with OVH Cloud the validation status of its aluminum heat exchanger, intended for data center cooling. The demonstration will take place at the OCP Global Summit, organized in San Jose from October 12 to 15. The group is thus transposing its expertise in automotive thermal management to a distinct market, after presenting on September 24 electric drone motors without rare earth materials.
When publishing H1 2026 results on July 22, Valeo had reaffirmed all of its 2026 objectives and cited among its opportunities the conquest of sectors adjacent to the automotive industry. The next technical level to watch is the 16.64 € resistance, approximately 6% above the current price.
