Vetoquinol stock surges 9% and breaks through its 150-session high
The veterinary laboratory is among the strongest gainers on the Paris stock exchange in mid-morning trading. The move follows the publication of its nine-month revenue figures and two upward target revisions, while the market is performing significantly higher.
A breakthrough at €84 that places the price at €87 and 16% above the 50-day MA
The stock gains 9.02% to €87 and ranks among the strongest gainers on the CAC All Shares. By climbing, it surpassed €84, the highest level of the last 150 sessions, which has now become a support level, having already broken through the 30-session high at €80.80.
The momentum is clear: the value has gained 9.85% over one week, and the price is 11.3% above the 20-day MA and 14.2% above the 200-day MA.
The RSI at 72 signals an overbought configuration, a simple reference point for technical analysis. The sales published on October 28 report €399 million at end of September, up 3.9% on a reported basis and 5.4% at constant exchange rates.
Growth accelerated from 7.2% in the second quarter to 9.6% in the third quarter, driven by Essential products. The next technical level is resistance at €91, approximately 4.6% above the current price.
Two analyst opinions set targets of €88 and €90, with share buyback in the background
Two brokerage houses commented on Thursday. TP Icap Midcap raised its target from €86 to €88 with a buy rating, and CIC Market Solutions maintained its target at €90 with the same rating.
The price of €87 leaves barely 1% upside to the first target and approximately 3.4% to the second, meaning the stock is already trading close to stated targets. This analyst consensus remains oriented toward a buy rating.
Another contextual element: the group announced on June 11 a share buyback program of €238 million. Over twelve months, the stock has posted +11%, and +19.5% over three months. The next key level to watch remains the €91 zone, its closest resistance level.
