Weighed down by 23.5% in three months, LVMH stock remains stuck in oversold territory
The luxury giant is stagnating at mid-session, as the CAC 40 retreats. This apparent immobility masks a significantly deteriorated underlying momentum, which a major broker's opinion is only making worse.
A stock frozen at €378.65, down 24% below its long-term moving average
The price of LVMH stock stands at €378.65, virtually unchanged on the session (+0.03%), in a CAC 40 declining 1.06%. The stock is down 4.6% over the week and nearly 12% over the month. It just set a new six-year low on Friday at €376, before a partial rebound.
The RSI at 27 reflects an oversold configuration, following a quarter at -23.6%. The stock remains below the three moving averages: the 20-day MA at €404.15 is 6.3% above, the 200-day MA at €495.08 is nearly 24% above the current price, a sign that the underlying trend has not reversed. The support level at €379.50, just breached, becomes the zone to reclaim.

UBS revised its price target on LVMH today, lowering it from €645 to €525, while maintaining its buy opinion. The new target remains nearly 39% higher than the current price, but it represents a €120 reduction from the previous objective. This revision adds to those from mid-September, with two target cuts published in less than forty-eight hours.
On the publications side, the group detailed its first-half 2026 results in July (July 27), with accelerated growth in the second quarter. It also cited a negative currency effect of 5% on sales and operating profit among its main risks. The stock remains, at this stage, very far from last year's levels: it is down more than 31% over twelve months.
