Worldline stock plunges 47.9% over one year and drops out of the SBF 120
The payments specialist retreats in late afternoon trading, in a Paris market clearly oriented downward. The decline occurs after a week of rebound, but the security remains far from its levels from a year ago.
A decline of 2% that barely dents the week's rebound
The Worldline stock falls 1.99% to €11.62, while the SBF 120 declines 1.37% and the CAC 40 by 1.38%. The security ranks in the lower part of the index, hit harder than the market as a whole. This decline remains modest compared to the 10% gain achieved over the week, which keeps the price above its 20-day moving average (gap of 4.6%). The price remains, however, below its 50-day moving average (gap of 5.4%), which limits the rebound.
The market context is tense: the CAC 40 suffers from weekend violence and concerns over French debt, with a ten-year OAT at 4.85%. Over one year, losses still reach 47.9%, and the security has declined 7.2% in one month. The latest financial report, that of the first half of 2026 published on July 30, mentioned an EBITDA target of 640 million euros.
Short sales decline to 3% of capital in one month
Declared net short positions reach 2.99% of capital, distributed among four funds, according to the declarations reviewed. They were at 3.24% thirty days ago, representing a decline of 0.25 points. This decrease suggests a somewhat less pronounced bearish bet than at the recent peak, without the scale of the movement allowing for a clear interpretation.
Based on the consensus of surveyed analysts, the stock trades at approximately 3.7 times current fiscal year earnings, with expected earnings per share growth of 8.2% from one fiscal year to another. The support level at €10.21 represents the closest downside reference point.
