Xilam Signs International Pre-sales for Oggy, Zig & Sharko and Chickies
The French studio has signed a series of pre-sale agreements covering new seasons of three of its franchises, with broadcasters distributed across Europe, Asia and North America. These contracts come as the productions in question are underway and scheduled for delivery between 2027 and 2028.
Three franchises covered by separate distribution agreements
Xilam Animation (Paris:ALXIL), listed on Euronext Growth Paris under ISIN code FR0004034072, has announced the conclusion of international pre-sales for several of its franchises in production. The ninth season of Oggy and the Cockroaches has been pre-sold to the Warner Bros. Discovery group for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) and APAC (Asia-Pacific) regions. The fifth and sixth seasons of Zig & Sharko have been sold to JioStar India Private Limited in India and to Warner Bros. Discovery in Italy. The spin-off Chickies, derived from the short series Where Are You Chicky?, will be broadcast on Radio-Canada and SVT Sweden.
Deliveries scheduled between 2027 and 2028
The ninth season of Oggy and the Cockroaches, commissioned by France Télévisions, comprises 78 episodes of 7 minutes and will be delivered between the third quarter of 2027 and the second quarter of 2028, marking the franchise's 30th anniversary in 2028. The new seasons of Zig & Sharko, commissioned by Gulli (France), each contain 52 episodes of 7 minutes and will be delivered in 2027 and 2028 respectively. Chickies, a 3D animated series of 78 episodes of 7 minutes, is scheduled for delivery in 2027 and has already been the subject of a pre-sale to France Télévisions.
Presence at MIPCOM and digital audiences of franchises
Xilam will be present at MIPCOM with the first two finalized episodes of the Chickies series, with complete delivery scheduled for 2027. Oggy and the Cockroaches is available in more than 190 countries and has accumulated 32 million subscribers on YouTube for 18 billion views. Zig & Sharko has more than 39 million subscribers and 23 billion views. The series Where Are You Chicky? totals 9 billion cumulative views and 12 million subscribers on YouTube.
