Agripower France Invests in a €5.5 Million Biomethane Project in Allier
Agripower France announces a 38% stake acquisition in a company developing an agricultural methanization unit project for biomethane injection in Allier. This move aligns with the group’s strategy as a renewable energy developer-investor.
Project Details
The project involves the construction of a new biomethane methanization unit with a capacity of 106 Nm3/h in Allier, aimed at processing approximately 10,900 tons per year of agricultural inputs. Applications for ICPE (Installation Classified for Environmental Protection) and building permits will be filed. A construction contract is being finalized with Agripower, with work scheduled to start in the second half of 2026 and commissioning targeted before the end of 2027. Biomethane will be injected into the GRDF network at a regulated rate.
Financial Investment
The necessary investments for the project are estimated at around €5.5 million. Agripower Partner, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Agripower, will contribute €0.8 million through the provision of a shareholder current account. This will be supplemented by bank and/or bond financing. This operation confirms the group’s position as a developer-investor and demonstrates its expertise in reviving and developing biomethane injection projects, within a partnership framework.
