Kering Unveils ReconKering, Its Transformation Plan to Reclaim Luxury
During its Capital Markets Day in Florence, Kering introduced ReconKering, a transformation plan aimed at restoring its strategic vision and strengthening its leadership position in the luxury sector.
Defining the Strategy
ReconKering outlines the Group's strategy by reaffirming the fundamentals of True Luxury—creativity, craftsmanship, cultural relevance, and product excellence—while developing the necessary capabilities to support the emergence of Next Luxury, characterized by new technologies, evolving customer expectations, new markets, and new categories. The plan aims to increase the desirability of the Houses, enhance operational excellence, and deploy a more focused and disciplined model. Recent developments include the organizational redesign of the Group, strengthening of financial discipline, clarification of product and pricing strategies, optimization of the distribution network, and consolidation of operational governance.
Implementing an Integrated Group Platform
ReconKering establishes an integrated Group platform designed to enable the Houses to gain strength, speed, and efficiency while fully preserving their creative identity. This platform revolves around five hubs that pool key expertise in areas where scale effect creates value. The resulting operational model relies on a more agile, connected, and disciplined deployment, combining creativity, craftsmanship, cultural relevance, and product excellence. The Group employs 44,000 people and achieved a revenue of 14.7 billion euros in 2025. Luca de Meo, CEO of Kering, stated that ReconKering marks a return to Kering's uniqueness while aligning with the evolutions of luxury, with the agility of a challenger and an increased demand for execution.
