Planned Shutdown Facilitates Significant Maintenance and Upgrades
This planned shutdown enabled inspection and maintenance work on equipment that normally operates continuously, involving about 450,000 work hours and 1,200 people per day at peak activity. Several key projects were implemented aimed at enhancing energy efficiency and the site's competitiveness, notably through improved thermal integration of certain units and the implementation of waste heat recovery systems. These improvements are estimated to reduce CO? emissions by 10,000 tons per year, calculated according to a methodology compliant with international carbon accounting standards.
