Renault Takes Full Control of Flexis to Finalize Development of Its New Electric Range
Renault Group, Volvo Group, and CMA CGM Group have reached an agreement allowing the French automaker to acquire the entire capital of Flexis. This transaction marks a new phase in the development of the project, which will maintain its base in France.
Renault Group will take over the entire capital of Flexis and lead the finalization of the development project. This shareholder restructuring is part of the long-term partnership between Renault Group and Volvo Group in the light commercial vehicles sector. The agreement reached between the three groups remains conditional upon obtaining all required regulatory approvals. The first model of the range, the Renault Trafic Van E-Tech electric, will enter production by the end of 2026 at the Renault Group's Sandouville plant. This French factory will be the manufacturing site for the new electric vehicle.
